Handwritten With Love is an initiative to reminisce and celebrate the lost art of handwritten letters; the cursive handwriting; the loops and twists of ink on paper; the smudged text; the words written in a haste; the neatly written first page of a notebook; chewing on the pen; long days of waiting for the postman's knock at the door; the splatters of ink on a piece of paper; the neatly folded letters of a loved one kept hidden inside a cupboard; the scented paper; the heart felt prayers of an elderly figure written down with their quivering hands; the first few scribbles of a little one; the notes exchanged between classfellows; the random thoughts penned down in a secret diary; faded text confirming the dropping of a tear drop; words cut out making you wonder what the writer may have wanted to say; handwriting painting a picture of the writer's personality and frame of mind - and all that we have lost as handwritten letters and notes die a silent death.
Technology has connected us in ways unimaginable to the past, but it has taken away from us a cherished way of communication. It has turned humble wishes and emotions into acronyms like HBD (for Happy Birthday) and LOL (Laughs out loud) and while digital communication may be the most efficinet form of communicating, some things need to be said in ways that will never be forgetten - like a handwritten letter put in an envelope and sealed with a kiss.
